Sacandaga Station - viewshed for lakeview area

The siteplan of the 10acre parcel retains a strong link to past land use as part of the FJ&G railroad resort. The track right-of-way was preserved (lower left) with half of it strictly pedestrian use. The lakefront was opened up and a trail and steps were built to access the project docks (lower right). The seven lots with a partial lake view were placed so as to offer a viewshed from each lot (red lines & arrows). The center image is the view from the side porch of the center top cottage. The gravel access road (middle left) suggests a village-like setting with giant white pines in the center. Car traffic is minimized by having a detached garage barn at the access road from Rt30 (top middle). The three lakefront lots have a separate access from Rt30 that winds through a preserved old lumber stand (top right). The 5 Station lots are not shown.
